  • The worksheets below contain practice problems involving unit conversions using the method of “dimensional analysis”.  It is assumed that you have already been introduced to the method of “dimensional analysis” in your lecture class.
  • Answer keys are provided separately, but you should work these problems out on paper (not in your head or on the calculator) before checking the answers.
  • The purpose of these problems in not merely to get the right answer, but to practice writing out the dimensional analysis setup. We will be using this method all semester and I will be asking you for your setup, so don’t just work out the problem on your calculator.
  • You can find all the conversion factors needed in these problems in your textbook or lecture notes.  But you are expected to know all the SI conversion factors by test time.  Whenever an English to SI conversion is required, I will provide you with one conversion factor.
